I have 2 dogs. I take them and have them groomed once a month at the Town and Country animal clinic in Richmond , Missouri. They were there today and was supposed to be groomed as before, however when they were picked up the min-pin was still dirty and stink's. My Sheltie did get groomed and a hair cut so he looked good. There was a Dr. Dale Stewart that dangled my miniture pincher from a choke collar twice. He stated he had a problem with dog's who think they are in charge. He said my dog needed obeidence. The dog saw my grandson and started towards him and the Dr. pulled him with the choke collar again and he flipped over backwards.  I have never had a problem with my dog biting anyone but when something was said about him choking my dog he and the receptionist stated he tried to bite. If my dog was such a problem he could have told me a long time ago. I sent my dog there to get groomed , not for obeidence training. I have never had a problem with them before but I do have a problem with someone , especially when it's a Dr. that's doing it. He stated he  knew what he was doing because he went to school for that. I just wonder how many of our vet's went to school to learn how to choke a little 12lb dog. If he will do that in front of me it make's me wonder what he does when I'm not there. All of this took place as my 10 year old grandson watched and cried because he was hurting his dog.I ask to speak to his boss and he stated he was the owner so there was no where else I could go  and he stated that the important thing is that the dog is not hurt.If you can't trust a vet to take you animal's to where do you take them? I always thought you had to be special to be a vet and love all animals but I guess not.
