When I went on line at BikepartsUSA I entered the part number, was given the option to order that part number and I did. BikepartsUSA, of course, immediately hit my credit card for payment and shipped my part. What the web site didn't tell me was that there are actually two different derailures with the exact same part number. The website gave me only one option and there were no red flags or any indication at all that their are 2 different parts with the exact same number nor did anyone contact me before shipping the wrong part. Their excuses were that only one was in stock so that is what I got and that I should have known the two exsisted and called them,(???on that one). However it was the owner's, Morgan, extremely rude attitude that was most disappointing. All of us can handle an error or mistake being made but he refused to accept any responsibility in the matter and truly treated me like an idiot. He told me that this error happens "all the time." claiming he was in business for whopping "7" years and quite frankly I the customer should have known better.
I think the website should have triggered me about the confusion, that they are enjoying making money on the error that "happens all the time", and that BikePartsUSA just lost my little bit of business. |
