Our brand new pup we got from Kinship Companions Pups in Oostburg, WI was sick and has kidney dysplasia and Situs Inversus! Breeders would not take back pup nor offer to refund our good money paid to them! Now we have a sweet dog but one who is costing us a fortune in vet bills and will surely not live a long normal life.
Charlie is a poorly bred dog and has many genetic issues that the breeder refuses to recognize even though they have been provided documents from 3 veterinary practices.
He has kidney dysplasia and frequently urinates all over the house and in his crate. He also has situs inversus (organs a mirror image), which may lead to further lung complications as a secondary issue. He is very loving and sweet but cannot handle going for walks of any length. His vet care has been astronomical and his kidney dysplasia was documented and communicated to breeder, within the first month of adopting him.
While searching for a reputable breeder, look for a warranty that covers vet bills up to the amount of the purchase price of the dog for genetically compromised pups. Good breeders have this clause; I wish I knew that when I was searching for a good breeder! |
