After finishing our meal on a Saturday evening at the China Buffet in Overland Park, KS, I stepped the the counter to pay for my meal, and a blind friend's meal. I handed my bill ,$20, and my debit card to pay for both meals to a young Asian lady. The young lady asked me "You pay" several times. I repeated yes to her and she kept repeating (you pay). While this was happening her eyes looked at a customer that stepped up after we had and she immediately took his bill and his card and started to process his payment. I told the young lady we were here first , why are you processing his payment before ours. There was no response. After finishing the transaction with that customer she reached for our ticket and money and I immeditately asked to speak with the manager. The manager came , I explained the situation to her and she spoke to the young lady in their native langauge. The manager told me the young lady said she was sorry. I explained to the manager that we were customers and we did not deserve to be treated in that manner. She said she would tell the owner. I feel nothing was done and this type of service should not be tolerated. Our evening was upset by this display of unfair treatment. |
