AFT Logistics from Hampton, GA was given more than 3 months notice from the time I had chosen their company to ship my vehicle. They were informed that the vehicle was ready for pick up whenever they wanted it, to guarantee delivery before my arrival. The company set the pickup date, and I was confident (at that time) that I would have no difficulties. As the pick up date approached, I stopped getting any emails and finally received a rude response after questioning them on when they would be able to transport, see email below. In addition, I tried calling the company and noted this in an email, this is after my original pick up date. Not only did they not pick up my vehicle, they became rude and obnoxious to boot.
This company boasts themselves as having a five star rating, along with honesty, integrity etc. all of which is incorrect. I found that these companies can supply their own references as well as have your comments deleted from transport reviews, unless you are determined and have kept your paperwork together to prove what you are stating. It took a few days for me to have my comments placed back onto the main auto transport review site. I must give them credit, they finally realized that I was telling the truth about the company!
AFT Logistics cost me $1,500 for a rental car, not the truck that I needed. In addition, I must try again next year to ship my truck. I wonder how much gas will be then.
Here is a sample of responses from AFT Logistics. This was well after the scheduled pick up date, which was the week of June 22 and these are complete emails:
My email:
"I can't express my disappointment at the fact that I am unable to get a reply regarding my order which was made 3 months in advance with you. Now it is July 2, and no contact with you since June 25. As senior coordinator, I would think that you would at least spend a moment to explain the situation to a very disappointed client!"
This was the response:
"Becky,
For the past two days and from what they tell me until Saturday, our phone system and computer network will be down. I just got all my emails for the last two days right now. We are unable to ANSWER incoming calls or call out but I did figure out how to get messages off the phones but there are 384 at this moment. Right now there are three trucks that can take it to WA however I don't have confirmation they have space. The system we use to assign drivers is the same system that 90% of most of the industry uses so right now we are all working to try to figure out when it will be up again.
Faye, "
Another quote from an earlier email from Faye "I hope I don't sound "short" but we are really busy."
I guess Faye is the only busy person on the planet.
Do you really want to put your trust in a company that is incapable of receiving or answering phones calls as she states in her reply? This, in additional to taking the chance on them backing out after it is too late to make other arrangements? I would strongly urge that you find a reputable company in this field, AFT Logistics is not it! |
