Plato's Closet is a store that buys gently used clothing from the public and then resells it. However, my experience was different. I brought in a bag of clothes that contain 2 pairs of shoes, a leather jacket and 15 shirts (2 of which were new with the price tags still in place). I filled out the paperwork when I dropped off my clothes and I was told I'd hear from them by 8:00pm that night. Needless to say I never got a phone call. I went back the next day and was told they didn't get a chance to go through my bag yet. So I returned 2 days later and waited over 45 minutes while they were looking for my bag in the back. The owner of the store, Rona Richardson, gave me a $5 coupon and they took my telephone number again and told they would call when they found it. My name was posted on a board behind the cash register stating that they passed on all of my clothes; therefore they should have all been returned to me. So I waited a couple days and I didn't get a phone call, so once again I went to Plato's Closet to see what was going on. I talked to the store owner, Rona Richardson, and she informed me that she had a problem with some of her employees stealing and she had fired them. She told me that she couldn't make my clothes reappear and offered me a discount if I wanted to buy anything. However, it was never my intention to buy used clothes. I went to Plato's Closet to sell my clothes and I had them stolen from me. I told her we need to come to some type of reimbursement since they took my clothes without my permission. At that point she told her employees not to talk to me anymore and walked away.
Rona Richardson just opened this store within the last month. I'm not aware of what she did if anything for the other people's clothing that her store stole, but she did absolutely nothing for me.
