I took my car in to Brian's Auto Repair because my service engine light was on. He charged me $300 to replace Camshaft Sensor, Crankshaft Sensor, batter and spark plugs. After I paid him and left my light came back on.  I took it back to him. After keeping it for 9 days (my car never moved from where it was parked the whole time) he claimed that he couldn't find the problem. He told me that he had been running tests on my car and it looked like computer "glitch" and for $500 he could fix it or I could just learn to live with the light staying on. 

 

I chose to just live with the light. This was in March of '09. My car continued to have same problems and now my light was staying on, plus I no longer had cruise control...but I had no more money and Brian insisted he had replaced it all.  I am a single mother.  My daughter was driving my car back and forth to work and to daycare (she just had a baby this summer)  January 21, 2010 I took my car to another mechanic to replace my power steering belt. After telling him what happened to me at Brian's the new mechanic checked out my car. Imagine my shock when he showed me that I still had all manufactured parts from factory car was made. 

 

Nothing had ever been replaced.  Except I did have a new battery.  That was all Brian did. The new mechanic put in a new camshaft sensor, did tune-up and everything that Brian claimed he had done. New mechanic showed me the parts he replaced and they were the original factory parts. I had been ripped off by Brian. My car now runs like brand-new and guess what else? My light is off and everything is working again (even cruise control). New mechanic told me that the light went out because problem was finally fixed. I am so glad to have found an honest mechanic. After my bad experience I started hearing more stories from other people (especially women) about how Brian also cheated them.  My car could've broken down anytime with my daughter and her baby!  So beware!  He is a crook! Especially if you are a woman and it's during racing season...he has a race car so he needs money!!
