I was in the process buying a business, Bamboo Skin Spa from Jenni Chau 2 years ago. She glorified her depressing business and I was not aware that she has been closing her doors for more than 4 months.
In March 2006 I took over the business and paid over 150k by installments over these 2 years. During this period, she constantly harrassed our business and my employees. Jenni even asked my employees to work for her when I'll be gone one day. One of my employees is willing to testify about this matter.
In August 2007 Jenni cashed a 30k USD check from me. Then less than 2 weeks later she disputed the business sale contract and refused to sell the business to me. The reasons are 1) She got fired from her job. 2) Our business was booming and she was trying to steal it back.
(I learnt that she sued 2 of her former employers and in my opinion I do not think that she would get any other job in the bio tech field)
I would say that this is a planned business fraud and advise anybody NOT to purchase any business sale from Jenni Chau, Bamboo Aesthetics. I found out that before me, there were several victims as well.
Jenni keeps harrasing me and my staff even we moved out of our retail space. She cashed all the checks and forced us to leave. We moved out in Octocber 2007. (We were nice enough to sublease her retail space when her business failed 2 years ago then when she saw our business was getting better in this 2 years, she evicted us out)
Jenni has been verbally abusive to my staff and threatened them in the past as well as went through my personal belongings and my company confidential paperworks in the retail space. (She kept a copy of the keys to herself when we were subleasing the space) Once she opened my all my mails including the bank statements!
Once she also convinced me to let her buy a filter of the microdermabrasion machine for me, then she charged $250 even though the filter only costed $65! She also charged $1200 for a list of spa supplies which cost around $500! When she asked me to let her help with the ordering, I would thought that it would be a friendly gesture and do not expect a rip off! (We were nice enough to sublease her retail space so she could stop losing money paying all those rent because her business was unsuccessful!) Her product Bamboo Elements are all private label! She ordered those products from Florida and sticked labels on it! She lied that she produced the products by herself! What a liar!
When we finally moved out to a new location to continue our successful business (yes we turned a depressing business into a better one) She went to our new place to harrass our business and tried to trespass on our property!
In my opinion, I would say that Jenni Chau got a lot of emotional problems besides running a fraudulent business. She is a vicious, greedy, dishonest, manipulative and pretentious woman! Stay away from this big bully before lossing all your investment! Do not be another local scam victim!
