Dear Sir,
I was on ebay and bid on a 69 Camaro, at the buy it now price on Dec 4, on Dec 5 ebay sent
my a email stating the auction had been cancelled.  The seller jc132 (ebay name) emailed me
that he had started a case with Ebay.  I had emailed Ebay directly from their site asking if this
was correct, I received no response, the next day I received what looked like the official
ebay email stating that everything was correct, proceed with transaction. I then received a
email from ebay stating the invoice number, buyer protection plan, everything that the real
ebay does.  I finally did receive a email from the real ebay telling me how to change a password.
All the emails except for the first one were spoof emails. (except the one about the password),
After sending money & not receiving the car, I wrote the official ebay & ask what was going
on, they said that the seller had stole someone's identity & had this car put on ebay, of which they(ebay) had not checked this out throughly.  I had 40 some emails from ebay support, none which helped
until I emailed the President of ebay & the founder of ebay.  They told me it was bought outside
of ebay, & they could not do anything, all I could do was report it to the police & a site called
ic3gov.com.  No one will help me.  I bid this on ebay & I was scammed while I was on
ebay, ebay takes no responsibility for this. Ebay is suppose to check all items before putting
them on their site. I talked to Chett Ricketts(office of the President of Ebay) & he told me
that they TRY to look at all items before being placed for bid, apparently this one slipped thru.
What can I do?

Thank you,
Alpha
