This all started when I tried to close my dell account on October 19,2005. Costumer service said that I had to pay off my bill first. I said I paid it in full in September. They said I ordered a hard drive. I did not. So I ask where was it sent to. They told me the address and it was not my address.

Dell says they will send me an affidavit within 30 days. Okay so they did this and I proceded filling it out and getting it notarized. I then sent it out.

A couple of months go buy and im still recieving my bill and now they added late fees for non payment. How is this even legal I never ordered anything. Than it went to 90 days past due.

I call them and they said they never recieved my affidavit. I send it out again and they also gave me a fax and I faxed it about 5 times to make sure they got it. They kept calling me asking me for money to pay the bill.

I said the charges are fraudulant and an indian accent guy says how would you like to pay your bill, for the hard drive order #634519302, master card, visa ect.....Not going anywhere with them.

So I call back costumer service and they say they cant proceed without an affidavit,( I have copies of all they affidavits I sent out) even though I sent it many times.

I contacted better business beaureau and they got in touch with dell. They told the bbb that they revieved my affidavit and they are investigating and also gave me a number to call to check on it.

I called the number and it was a recording saying if my issue was not resolved to call their 800 # costumer support line. lol okay. BBB said that is all they could do and closed the case.

Now dell sent the account to collections and im receiving many calls in the day to pay the bill. I told them what happened and they said to contact dell or pay the bill. I tried to contact dell and they put me on hold and say to contact collections or hang up on me.

Im not getting anywhere so I ignore them for about 2 years. Now I tried to get credit and I cant. I paid the collection agency because they said it would clear my credit report up. I paid them and now they say that I have to contact dell to take it off my credit.

I called dell and they said they wrote it off as bad debt and now my credit is ruined. Can I sue these jerks or what. They didnt even try to help me at all. I tried to contact the credit agencys and they said the information was true. Why cause dell said it was. This is terrible I was also rejected on a mortgage because of this. Almost lost a 5,000$ deposite cause of them.
