We had Dish network as our cable/satellite TV provider for approximently 4 years, during those 4 years we switched to HD receivers. Dishnetwork came and did the service call and after all was fixed we had 1 extra receiver that was not need anymore so they took that with them. This year in late May our HD quit working I called for a service call and it took several calls a month to be exact to get them here and then they said they couldn't fix it due to an area problem and that problem should fix itsself in a few week. Well a few weeks went by and nothing so we finally switched to our local provider BLT and let me give them kudos because when we experinced a problem due to incorrect installation they were back in a matter of hours! We then had to take empty boxes that were shipped to us and mail all the Dishnetwork equipment we had back to them. They should have come and picked it up we have a Dishnetwork van sitting in a neighbors drive just up the road, whats up with that? Okay so we shipped the equipment to them on August 3, 2009 but it doesn't end there, a few days later we start getting notices that we still have one receiver that we haven't sent them, that being the one the service man took with him when they switched us to HD status. We have since then received calls and letters every month sometimes twice a month a which time we get on the phone and wait and wait and wait for an operater to come on so we can explain that we do not have another receiver. Our last call was yesterday, each time we are reassured the problem will be taken care of but it never is they always mail another bill and call. This has been going on for 4 months now and we are worried that it will effect our credit standing. I hope this article will steer people away from using Dishnetwork, use your local provider if you have one or try cable at least you will be able to see your TV when it rains. So take my word for it and don't do business with Dishnetwork!!! |
