Do not ship with Lee Ship International Inc., located at 3355A 52ND Ave in Hyattsville, MD. The owner of the company is George L. Sealy (aka George Lee) he can not to be trusted with your things.
December 2006 my husband wanted to ship his van to Jamaica, and went to Mr. George Sealy to do the job. He fill out all the necessary papers for a legal shipment for out of the country and gave them to Mr. Sealy. Copies included his driver license, the deed to the van with a clear title, (paid off) and the registration; all papers were placed in Mr. Sealy's hands with his approval. At this point Mr. Sealy was paid $1,900 to ship the van.
My husband brought the van to Mr. Sealy place of business to be shipped December 19, 2006. The van was to arrive in Jamaica on January 18, 2007. My husband paid a broker in Jamaica to pickup the van for him, however, when the broker call the shipping company in Jamaica on January 18, 2007, he was told it had not arrived. My husband called the broker the next week to see if the van had arrived and still no van. Mind you it's been two weeks and no van. On the third week my husband called the broker again to see if the van had arrived and no van, so he called Mr. Sealy to see what happen to the van after three weeks.
My husband came back here from Jamaica and confronted Mr. Sealy. Mr. Sealy was so rude to my husband hinging up the phone, closing doors in his face, or Mr. Sealy would give him a different excuses, Mr. Sealy would say the van is in Virginia or Custom is holding the container because some paper for a vehicle was not right, then told us the container was in Florida or the container is on it's way, knowing this was not true. Mr. Sealy even called the Maryland police on us, because my husband and I were in his business asking questions as to where our van was. Mr. Sealy finally gave us a letter with the name of a contact person where the container was in Florida.
We called the contact person in the letter; the person told us that Mr. Sealy needed to pay up the entire storage fee on the container before the container could leave Florida. I asked the contact person in Florida if Mr. Sealy had no intention of paying the fees, he told me "no". The van was set to be shipped out and delivered by January 2007, it has been 4-months now and we don't know when or if the van or any of the other items in the container will be shipped out, or if we will ever see the van again.
This company is still in business and taking people's money, knowing he will not ship their things out. Let me give you another example of the bad business he is doing, a young lady was working for him my husband know, after three weeks of working for Mr. Sealy gave her $60 for the weeks she worked there. Good thing she did not return to work the next week that is not even minimum wages. If she had told me this before now I would have told her to report him to the wage board.
Please forward this to everyone you know, friends, co-workers, family members, church members, or tell anybody you think would be interested in this. Let's stop a dishonest person from doing this kind of business. I'm not finish with this yet, his name will be added to the BBB list. Thanks for reading and please forward.
