Called a number on a job add in Careerbuilder.com.  I thought I was going to apply for a job, but it turns out that the add placed by Hollywoodprofiles.com was actually trying to get you to cough up $96 so that they can make you a profile and promises you a job within 30 days.  I thought about it, the guy said I wouldn't have to pay for 30 days as I understood, so I gave him my credit card number.  He said after the 30 day period I would be charge 9.99 a week, I thought about it again, wasn't sure if I really wanted to do it, but again he assured me that I would get my money back if I didn't have a job or two lined up before those charges started to apply.  I said ok, then he asked me for verification of the last 4 digits of my credit card, and I gave it to him, then I asked him again to be certain because I didn't have any money in my account at the time, if I had 30 days, he said oh "im sorry I already charged your account," and sure enough I was already in the negative.  I said oh, well I want to cancel, and he gave me another number to call, so I did within a minute of hanging up.  The next guy I spoke to I told him my situation, and that the guy I talked to wasn't very clear on when he was charging me and he said he would be glad to give me a refund and I should see it within 3 business days. I Called back 3 business days later, after finding that the charge had cleared and it was a debit, not a credit.  Asked the new lady (customer service representative) on the phone about it and she put me on hold for a while, came back and said "after talking to whom you talked to" she assured me that "he never told you that you would receive a refund" and "after listening to your recording from the ordering conversation it was clearly explained to you what you were being charged for and you agreed."  She told me that after review I was not eligible for a refund and that a manager will be contacting me by today or tomorrow if I would like.  I said yes please.  Well the manager has yet to call so I am disputing the charge with my bank. I wouldn't wish anyone this inconvenience!!
