For anyone signing up to HollywoodProfiles.com, please don't do it. They offer a $1.95 activation fee and it's good for 2 weeks (Terms and Conditions must be read). Well, the only way to cancel is by calling this 800 number they have on their website. It still phases me that cancellations can only be done by phone whereas signup, registration and everything else can be done online, but that's a whole different story. Anyway, I called before the cancellation date was up so I wouldn't get charged the ridiculous $49.95 fee. I was on the line for 1 hour before I got disconnected without being able to speak to anyone. I tried again and this time I got disconnected after 45 minutes!! This was incredulous! They expect us to stay on the phone all day and then not even be able to get through! I called back again the following day and again the same things happened. Since they only have business days of M-F, the weekend was out of the question and low and behold, they charged me the $49.95 membership fee that I was trying to avoid! I called on Monday, the day they finally begin to accept calls again and I couldn't get through... No surprise there. I called on Tuesday and after being disconnected twice with 45 minute wait times, I finally got someone on the line! I explained my situation to the man and he tells me that they are unable to issue a refund! Why? Because the time had expired! I told him that all that time, I had been trying to call and cancel but he did not care. He said no refund and that was final.
So please anyone wanting to sign up, either don't or be ready to face the consequences of going on the Guinness Book of World Records for wait time of trying to call and cancel.
