On December 23, 2009 I called Sleep Store USA to get the price on the Leggett and Platt S-Cape split king adjustable bed. I told her we were buying Select Comfort i8. She directed me to their DigitalAir 7 Series Pillow top Airbed. She told me the air mattress was the same as the i8 just a different cover for different store. I know manufactures do that so it was believable. She assured me that they had a 90 day money back guarantee, 110% price protection and Free Return Shipping. I ordered with her buying the Leggett and Platt S-Cape split king adjustable bed, DigitalAir 7 Series Pillow top Split King Airbed, and White Glove Setup and Delivery with my mattress removed. My total cost $4800.00 My order was delivered on Jan 1, 2010 by Mannna Distribution Services at 1:30 pm. The delivery guys informed they were truck drivers and they had never seen one of these beds before and they didn't remove anything. I immediately called Michael at Sleep Store USA and he got on the phone with them. They never could figure out how to put the bed together and I spoke with Michael again pointing out that this did not look like the bed I ordered, he assured me it was and spoke to the men again. The third time I called Sleep Store USA Michael had left for the day. After Michael had left I spoke with Steve at Innomax which is where the bed was shipped from. The men never did get this bed put together and left at 5:16pm with my bed and this one not put together so I had no bed to sleep on. I did not sign anything they just left. I spoke with Jeff at Manna Distribution Services and he did say they would send me a $50.00 check for a hotel for the night and apologized for the way I was being treated. As of today I have not received that money either. I called Michael first thing the next morning and he told me he would get back with me in 30 minutes and this would be straightened out. It still is not. My husband has talked to him several times he said the reason we got a different bed than the one I ordered was because the other one could not meet the delivery dead line. The bed we have is a Mystique by Innomax that in no way compares to what I bought. It is a much cheaper bed that I found a picture of on the Innomax web site. On the paper work the type is Queen not King Split. We have been unable to get anyone else on the phone. We are getting the run around I just had surgery on Dec. 19,2009 which is why we wanted the bed so quickly to begin so my healing process has been compromised considerably the stictches that should have dissolved inside my stomach are coming out of the incision so now got to go back to hospital
On Monday, January 11, 2010 and we got a call from Scott (they don't give out last names) called and offered to send us the right bed but they will not refund our money. They will not give us a name of a manager or phone number.
On Tuesday Janary 12, 2010 Scott called and offered to Scott called again and said the covers on the mattresses were interchangable and would do that and refund $400.00. My husband said he wanted his money back that they knew the day the bed was delivered that it was incorrect and it had been over a week. We want our money.
Scott said he would send us an email with the information in writing This is Wed. Jan. 13th he did not do that.
