This motel charged a $149 deposit when paying with cash or debit card for "incidentals" they stated. They also keep the deposit for 2 weeks. They also refused a walk through at checkout with an employee to verify that I did not use any of the incidentals. Trust works both ways. I was forced to use a credit card when I refused to pay this deposit and have it withheld for 2 weeks. For example, I found an extra remote under the sofa, I believe the previous customers were charged for that missing remote. I demanded a walk through at checkout when I discovered a broken wheel on the ottoman which I did not brake and I wanted the towels counted, the bottled water counted, the coffee packets counted, which I will be charged for if an employee miscounts or signs that they were not there.
