Having been in business for myself for over 30 years I thought I had seen and or heard just about everything there was regarding poor business practices. My experience with Smoky Hill Restoration in Granbury, Texas is almost beyond belief and or decription. After almost two years I was able, with the help of my attorney, to get my car out of Smoky Hill Restorations shop. Now we are trying to get all of the orginal parts that were on the car when I took it to Smoky Hill Restoration. The car was a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS and Smoky Hill Restoration was hired and contracted to perform a complete restoration on the car. I cannot tell you how many false completion schedules and dates that I was given and how much I was hounded to make advance deposits by Smoky Hill Restoration for work that was months from being completed or even started. And, when I questioned Smoky Hill Restoration or tried to hold them accountable they would then refuse to take my calls or return my calls. Usually, they would just ignore me cuasing more time delays. Finally I had had enough and got my attorney involved. Luckily I found a new shop that I know can finish the car and is honest and fair to deal with. Smoky Hill Restoration also tried several times to bill me and have me pay for work that they said took longer than my original turn key bids.
