We used Nick's Woodwork to build our composite deck.  A project that was supposed to take 2 weeks dragged out to 3 months.  We never knew where he was and he never showed up to work when he said he would.  He "promised" it would be done on 3 separate occasions but we needed to pay him more money.  This was a terrible experience and I would caution anyone using Nick's Woodwork to make sure all facts are outlined in DETAIL, including a completion date.  Nick works when he wants and on his own schedule, regardless of the client's timelines.  Buyer Beware.

Nick contacted me to remove this post.  I have altered it since he has completed the project.  It is a free country and others should be aware of his business practices.

It has recently been brought to our attention that a customer has posted a complaint against our business. This is unfortunate. Our company, Nick's Woodwork, is community based, family run, and strives for 100% customer satisfaction. Our business practices are professional and in-line with industry standards: a written estimate with 50% payment up-front, 50% upon 100% satisfactory completion of the job.

Having said this, delays due to inclement weather, material back-orders, and CUSTOMER DESIGN CHANGES (to address this case specifically), are almost inevitable. We encourage all potential clients to request multiple estimates and check the references of their contractors. For more information about Nick's see our website at www.nickswoodwork.com .

Thank-you,
Robert Fougere
Public Relations,
Nick's Woodwork.
