I recently booked a flight with Orbitz to Beijing, China. I had a flight from Denver to San Francisco, then from San Fran to Beijing. The time inbetween these flights was 54 minutes. Not being an avid international traveler, I did not see a problem with this until I was refused entry onto the Beijing flight. You must check in 45 minutes before take-off. So, the 9 minues Orbitz found sufficent for transfering planes was completely inadequate. The airline itself was helpful only after my bursting into tears and yelling. This experience was horrible, and avoidable on Orbitz's end. I sent an email to customer service, and was prompted to call. After explaining the situation to the operator she said, "So, you are wanting an itinerary for your trip?" After trying to expain over and over, it was evident I was speaking to someone who was incapable of listening. I will not be doing business with Orbitz again. |
