My boyfriend I recently purchased a set of tires and wheels for our four-wheeler from a company online (www.outdoorsmanatv.com) on a Friday afternoon 2/2/07. When we called to purchase them, they told us that the items we were ordering was in stock and would be shipped by FedEx in one to two days. We told the gentleman that we needed the tires before Wednesday 2/14/07 for a trip that my boyfriend was leaving for on Thursday morning. He assured me that they would come in before that day. We purchased the tires and wheels and waited for delivery.
We waited a week before calling to ask about the tires and if they had been sent. The office was closed on Monday. On Tuesday, I was told that the wheel that we ordered was not in stock and would not come in stock to them next Tuesday.
Thursday, I called deciding to cancel my order. When I called, Terry told me that he would have to check his invoices and find out if they tires had been shipped or not and to call back in two hours. I told him the guy I spoke with on Tuesday said that the wheels wouldn't come in until next Tuesday so the tires wouldn't have been shipped yet. But as asked, I waited two hours and called back.
When I spoke with Terry again, he said he completely forgot to look for my request, and it took him approximately 2 minutes to find my invoice to tell me that my order had been shipped on Tuesday. I was very frustrated by this point, because I was just told on Tuesday that our parts were not in when they should have told me that it had been shipped.
I was upset because when I called to order the tires on February 2, they told me that the items were in stock when in fact they were not. His response to this was: They did have it in stock on the computer, but they can not be accountable for the fifty orders that were placed before mine. So by the time they got to my order, it was then on back order.
This to me is not in stock. When I told him that was a problem with his system, he told me there were no problems with his system. Everything works fine for most customers, except for the four or five that they get a year. And they call those people "Complainers." "Most of these people are women."
The company lied to me when I called on Tuesday to ask where in the process my product was and was told that it would not be shipped until the following Tuesday and he was a liar when I purchased the product telling me that it was in stock when it wasn't
He told me that if I knew anything about a business, I would know that no one promises when a product will come in, because you can not account for hiccups in the process. "If I knew anything about a business, that I would know that that is not how a business is run."
He also said that I am the one that should have followed up the next day and asked if the product was in stock. I told him I did not think that was necessary because I was told the first day that the item was in stock.
I further told him that he will never get my business again, nor would he get business from anyone that I knew. Anyone that would listen, I would tell them about their bad customer service. He told me that word of mouth would not hurt them, and he didn't care what I said. |
