I purchased gasoline at Raceway #6737 in Thomasville, North Carolina, using my checking account debit card. Upon reviewing my bank statement, I found a $75 debit which I did not remember making. Upon further investigation, I traced this back to Raceway. I called my bank who said that some, but not all, gas stations were doing this. The bank said that the culprit was the company that Raceway has their gas terminals through, and that it was legal.
I called the Raceway station and spoke to "Abu" who, although seemed to immediately know what I was talking about, stated that it was my bank that was doing this because "you must have bad credit."
So everybody is pointing fingers. In the meantime, I am livid. Who has this right to play with my money without my permission?
