I called Rush Limousine Service to book a limo for my girlfriend's birthday to take us to a concert. I was able to reserve a limo, however, their credit card machine wasn't working and they offered to come to my house to pick up a personal check. When the owner showed up at my house, he didn't offer a business card and asked to leave the name on the check blank... sketch already! The check was cashed the next day...
On the day of the concert, I received a phone call from Rush Limousines about an hour before the scheduled pick up time. Apparently the limo that was supposed to pick me up broke down and wasn't going to make it. I was given an option to either cancel or pay almost twice as much for a different limo... Now, any other company would have just offered to send a different limo for to extra charge... but not these guys!
I told Rush that I couldn't pay that much more and wanted to cancel the limo. The person on the phone started bargaining with me, dropping the extra charge to $75. I told him I would call him back and let him know.
I called around a few other limo companies and was able to book with a different company for the original price that I was supposed to pay Rush.
I called Rush back and said that I wanted to cancel. I was informed that I couldn't cancel and would not be reimbursed my money. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY OPTION TO CANCEL FROM 10 MINUTES BEFORE?!?
For the next hour, Rush kept calling me to "confirm" the limo appointment and every time I told them that I have canceled.
At some point I was so frustrated with Rush, that I told the person on the phone that I will leave a bad review on his website. To which he said that he will "HUNT ME DOWN and physically make me remove the review". What kind of company threatens to hunt down its customers?!?
Since the incident, my girlfriend and I have left bad reviews on Superpages, where Rush advertises. Our reviews have been taked down and Rush changed their posting so that no one can leave reviews.
My money still has not been refunded, after numerous phonecalls and written complaints.
So my advice to you - PICK ANY OTHER LIMOUSINE SERCIVE IN THE AREA, THERE ARE PLENTY OF THEM OUT THERE. JUST DON'T USE RUSH!!! |
