A TV can be, and is often, a major purchase for any given person. For me, it meant saving my money and carefully spending on products that I have researched. I am very loyal to brands that seem to "take care of business" so to speak. I drive a Honda because I know they are reliable and great on gas. I buy Levi jeans because I know they'll last. I thought that buying a Samsung t.v. was a guarantee of a good product and excellent service. Unfortunately, neither could be farther from the truth.
My TV. broke after only 4 months of use. Though I was slightly put out, I was far from angry. Initially when I called customer service they seemed friendly and helpful. They made promise of phone calls and information concerning the repair of my TV. I was patient even as I did not hear any word from them for over a week. After a week I called to find out that they had located a service center for me, but never informed me of this. After waiting another two weeks and having a service technician that he could not repair my TV, I found myself on the phone with customer service once again. For the next two weeks I continually called to find out that they had done very little to replace my TV. Finally, I had a young lady promise me that the TV was on shipment and would arrive in 2 weeks.
2 weeks later and no TV after spending hours on the phone with customer care, and I got a little upset. I requested a phone call with a supervisor. I was put on hold for a half hour three times with no reply from the supervisor. When I did get through they told me that, because the inconvenience they would give me 90days extra on the warranty for the TV they were sending me (whoopty doo). It was during this time that I found out that the girl who had promised to take care of sending my t.v. simply didn't do it. I then requested to talk to a manager above the supervisor. I was put on a call back list and for another week and half I heard nothing from anyone, though I continued to call and request a phone call with the manager.
After two months I still have noTV and they are saying that my TV will not arrive for another two weeks. This is, by far, the worst customer care I've recieved. |
