eBay trueauctions true? auctions? - Certainly not in case of trueauctions !!!
Description - NEW shoes- reality - scuffed floor samples Size W7 in description - reality - too narrow for anybody with size W7 to even put on half way!
Advertized as 7 Days Exchange - reality - trueauctions refuses to even provide return address.
I bought hundreds of items in more than a decade from online sellers and the experience was really nice with few hiccups - the sellers in these cases were always nice enough to own up to their mistake and resolve the disputes amicably.
For example I am an eBay member since year 2000 and had a 100% satisfactory eBay experience, by simply taking care and using eBay information - try to only deal with parties with 100% or close to 100% feedback, looking at complaints against sellers and carefully reading auction descriptions prior to bidding. This was enough up till recently, when I encountered somebody falsely calling himself trueauctions - what a new meaning for the word true...
As described above, there was very little of true in actions of this dishonest seller. At the end I had to call my credit card company to get a credit for this purchase. I just wonder how this seller achieved a score of 99.6% positive - maybe this is the type of merchandize this seller does not have enough experience in - the seller divulged he used to sell t-shirts prior to shoes. Well, good luck with an attitude like this!
Instead of owning up to mistakes and friendly resolving this dispute, the seller tried to teach me how to shop online, just some quotes:
These shoes are new and may have been tried on in the store by some customers like any other shoe. I have sold t-shirts for years and if a customer receives the shirt and it does not fit perfect they realize that it was a internet purchase and that a seller can only go by what is on the tag. You may want to contact ugg and let them know to widen their shoes. As I said before you need to go to the store and try on the shoes you want and then go to the internet and get them cheaper. I have purchase shoes off the internet before and that is exactly what I did. I described these shoes exactly as they are and they say size 7 on them. It is not my fault that you have buyers remorse because you did not go and try them on in the store before purchasing them over the net, I thought that would be a pretty obvious thing to do. You will not receive a refund and paypal will not give you one either. I will tell them exactly what I have told you and they will not refund my money back to you. I cannot afford to give out refunds when a buyer does not make sure that the shoe is what they want before purchasing it over the net. Do you not understand that their is no way for me to know is a shoe is going to be narrow or wide on a customer and it is their job. Even when it comes to clothing, each designer fits different on different people. You need to contact ugg and let them know to widen their sandals. This is your responsibility and not my fault. Any time you get a deal in life you always have a little work involved to make sure that it will be a good deal and in this case you should have went and tried them on in person before getting your good deal. My finance actually tried them on because she wears a 6.5 and said that they were too big for her. She said that they were not narrow and that maybe the person that purchased them needs to buy wides or try them on in a store first. This is not my responsibilty, it is yours
Yep, selling an donkey and calling it a horse is OK to do according to trueauctions...
Earlier pieces of wisdom from my "favorite" seller of all times (note the love for repetitions and great grammar…):
I am sorry but I tell the size in the listing as it is and the size on these is W7, which means womens 7. If they were a 7W they would be a 7 wide and then they would definitely fit your wifes feet. I am not wal-mart and I cannot afford to have a wal-mart type of return policy. When people purchase shoes from the net they have already tried them on in the store and go to the net for a better price. These shoes were listed correctly and you received a Womens 7. I have other shoes and the letter is used after the number if it has to do with the fit, like 6M which means 6 medium. As stated in the listing I only give refunds if the item arrives not as described. I do want to help you and I give you permission to use my pictures and information to save you time if you want to list these on eBay. You should be able to get your money back through eBay. If I receive something that I am not happy with but it is not the sellers fault, I just put it back on eBay and get my money back like that. I am sorry but I will not give you a refund and I have done nothing wrong and you received exactly what I pictured and described. Please go try on a pair of the shoes you want to purchase before buying them discounted on the net next time. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Funny - I bought dozens of UGG shoes online both from UGG online store and eBay - for me, my family and not once there was a problem up to this - UGG is the best! Sure if somebody tries to sell discounted irregular floor samples as new normal shoes - that may be a problem…
And if you charge $18.95 to ship a pair of light sandals, maybe you should take a minute or two to see if you sending what you promised, just to keep your customers happy, maybe that would be one of recipes for a successful business… along with calling a horse a horse a mule a mule and a donkey a donkey… excuse my old-fashioned silliness…
But everything bad is good for something - credit card companies are thankfully still on the side of dissatisfied customers and so are websites like this.
Happy online experience to all of you and less false advertizing to all of as! |
