dacus's Profile and details
I purchased a lawn tractor from Sears at the Stonecrest mall on Wednesday, September 10, 2008.  The tractor was scheduled for delivery on Friday, September 12, 2008.  On Thursday, September  11, 2008, I received an email from Sears advertising a Midnight Madness sale from 9 pm to 6 am for 10% of any purchase from Sears.com.  I called Sears.com and told them that I had purchased a tractor from Sears, but that the tractor had not been delivered yet and asked them how I could get  the 10% discount.  The associate at Sears.com told me that I did not have to cancel the order and reorder online.  He said all I had to do was make a copy of the email and take it to the Sears store the next day and explain the situation and ask for "price accommodation" and they would give me the 10% discount.

I did as I was instructed by Sears.com.  Sears, at the Stonecrest mall, denied my request for the 10% discount.  I have tried repeatedly  to talk to the general manager at Sears.  I always get voice mail or she is not available. I called Sears customer service and was told that they could not help me.

Because I did as I was instructed by Sears.com I am out approximately $125.00.
