Watch out for these sly guys at Automatic Lofts in Chicago. They especially like to take advantage of out-of-towners who can't see the places they are renting in person. The website is slick, they suck you in, and then they screw you. What they won't tell you before you rent, is that if you are paying a premium for a 'private' room, you won't have privacy. You get 3 and a half walls. That's right. No window, and a half wall so you can hear everything and everyone and they can look in on you at anytime. 
   We tried to get our money back (deposit, first months rent) since our daughter (a student) never moved in. We never would have chosen the place if we knew it didn't have 4 walls. 
  To make matters worse, my daughter was told her room would be clean and locked until she moved in. When she arrived, it was unlocked and was used during a party the night before, the floors littered with beer cans and party waste.
 
DO NOT RENT FROM THESE GUYS!
